Introducing Wanderers Young Cricketers Programme

In 2022-23 Season we are launching The Wanderers Young Cricketers Programme. This Programme shows our commitment to supporting a wider range of young cricketers in Wellington.

We aim to support young cricketers from areas and schools that don't get the same opportunities that players from more established cricket schools get.

Wanderers Young Cricketers will have the chance to work with some of Wellington's best coaches and players over the course of the season, who will be able to inspire, advise, support, and guide them along their path.

WYC Program players will be selected from cricket schools outside the Premier Grade: Aotea College, Heretaunga College, Newlands College, Rongotai College, Samuel Marsden, St Bernard's College, St Catherine's College, Upper Hutt College, Wellington East Girls, Wellington High School, Whitby Collegiate (but we may invite players from outside these schools if we cannot find enough players to be part of the program)

It is our goal to provide support to approximately 12-18 young male and female cricketers through this program in the 2022-23 season.
