Rules and Standards for use of the Peter Field Clubrooms,
RA Vance Stand, Cello Basin Reserve
Access
1 Right of admission to the Cello Basin Reserve (venue) is subject to the venue’s regulations. Those using the Clubrooms are responsible for ensuring that they have right of admission to the venue and that they comply with the rules and regulations of the venue at all times.
2 The Clubrooms have a maximum capacity of 50 people.
3 The Club reserves the right to refuse entry to the Clubrooms to any person.
4 Members must wear their membership card while in the Clubrooms at all times and produce the membership card for inspection if requested by a designated host.
5 Members may not allow their membership card to be used by non-members for access to the Clubrooms and must take all reasonable precautions to ensure that no other person uses their membership card. The Club may retain any membership card that is improperly used until the Club Committee determines the terms and conditions on which it may be returned to the member.
International fixtures
6 Access to the Clubrooms during international matches is limited to Dutchy Du Chateau Platinum Members, Life Members and Officers.
7 On days 3-5 of Test Matches John Standish Members may also have access to the Clubrooms, subject to capacity, a ballot (if needed), and payment of a donation to the Club’s Youth Development Fund.
8 Subject to capacity, Dutchy Du Chateau Platinum Members may introduce a guest to the Clubrooms. Members must contact the Club to organise guest entry. Guest passes will be available for collection prior to the match commencing from the Cricket Wellington Office at the venue. Guest passes do not include entry to the venue.
9 Members wearing Club blazers are encouraged to wander around the ground to publicise the existence and aims of the Club.
Domestic fixtures, including SuperSmash
10 Access to the Clubrooms during Firebirds or Blaze fixtures, including SuperSmash fixtures, is open to all members. Dutchy Du Chateau Platinum Members have priority for entry, with all other members having entry on a first in, first served basis. For some fixtures (eg finals), the Club may determine entry to the Clubrooms by ballot, once Dutchy Du Chateau Platinum Members have indicated whether they wish to attend.
Club matches
11 All members are welcome to use the Clubrooms for any Club matches at the Cello Basin Reserve (if they are open).
Guests
12 Dutchy Du Chateau Members may purchase a second membership in their own name for the purpose of transfer to different family members or guests.
13 Any guests allowed entry are strongly encouraged to make a donation to the Club’s Youth Development Fund ($55 recommended).
14 Any member who introduces a guest is responsible for the guest’s behaviour.
Behaviour
15 The Club seeks to provide a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all those using the Clubrooms.
16 Those using the Clubrooms must behave at all times so as to promote the etiquette and high standards of cricket. Any member or guest who fails to behave in accordance with the standards expected may be asked to leave the Clubrooms.
17 Mobile phones may be used on silent mode to allow for the checking of texts and emails. Users should ensure mobile phone use does not impact negatively on the enjoyment of other users.
18 Smoking is not permitted in the Clubrooms.
19 Those using the Clubrooms must cover the costs of any food or drinks consumed. Only food or drinks purchased in the Clubrooms may be consumed there due to licensing and catering requirements. All those using the Clubrooms must follow the instructions of catering staff in relation to alcohol laws.
Dress
20 All those using the Clubrooms must observe a clean and tidy standard of dress at all times. Jandals are prohibited. Members are encouraged to wear Club blazers and hats.
21 The dress code for Test Matches is neat casual. For men, a tailored jacket or blazer; collared shirt or polo shirt; trousers (including jeans, tailored shorts); neat shoes. For women, a dress, skirt or trousers (including jeans) with a top or blouse, or other clothing that is appropriately smart; formal shoes, boots or sandals. Hats, other than official Club hats, are prohibited. Children may be casually dressed.
22 Not acceptable dress: Footwear: thongs, scuffs, dilapidated footwear, gumboots, moccasins, slippers, T-shirts, singlets, tops showing bare midriff, torn or ripped clothing (even if ‘designer’ tears), shirts not supported by a collar (including crew neck shirts). Skivvies are acceptable, Football, running, athletic, bike, tennis and board shorts. Tracksuit pants. Overalls. Any clothing displaying racist or similarly offensive messages.
23 Special dress requirements may be notified for specific fixtures or events.
