Our purpose is to help develop youth cricketers in Wellington

The primary objective of the club is the support and foster the game of cricket at Secondary School level in the Wellington region.

We achieve this through a variety of activities including matches against Secondary Schools and our newly established Wanderers Young Cricketers Programme.

Wanderers teams often contain past Wellington and domestic representative players and occasionally a New Zealand player, which provides inspiration to the young college cricketers.

Our Wanderers Young Cricketers Programme demonstrates the Wanderers determination to support a wider group of young cricketers in the Wellington Region. Especially players from areas and schools that don’t have opportunities that players from more established cricket schools get.

Thanks to all the Wanderers CC Members, we’re strongly placed to support more and more young people stay involved in cricket

In today’s busy world there often doesn’t seem to be the same opportunity to stay playing the game or connected to the game once you stop playing.

We strive to create cricket experiences for cricket enthusiasts and past players of any level through: kindred cricket matches; social activities; and cricketing events for the many cricket lovers who share our goals and love the game.
