Back on the Basin: Past Wellington Players Relive Their Glory Days At Wanderers CC PeterField Clubrooms

This season, Wanderers CC proudly launched a new initiative in collaboration with NZCPA and Cricket Wellington to reconnect past Wellington players.

Special thanks to Paul Hobbs from NZCPA, committee members Jeremy Dean, Hamish Marshall, Willie Marshall, and our Club Membership Manager, Jazz Bailey, for a successful inaugural season. Over 80 past Blaze and Firebirds players gathered at two events during the Black Caps Test Match and the White Ferns ODI. It was particularly special to invite some of our Wanderers Young Cricketers Programme players to the Blaze Past Players Event, allowing them to experience a thrilling day of cricket at the Cello Basin Reserve.

Watch the highlights and listen to the cherished memories shared at these special events. Plus, get a look at the best view in the house at the Cello Basin from our Clubrooms atop the RA Vance Stand! Keeping the cricket spirit alive within our community is what we're all about.
